How to use Fellow Aiden

Unsure where to start?  Check out this short clip.

  1. Prep: Make sure to fill the water reservoir, verify the carafe is empty, empty the basket, and place a new filter. There are two baskets which match the amount of coffee you want to produce.  Note the color coded symbol on the basket which matches the selector knob in the basket lid, and also matches the recipe you will select soon.  A single serving at 3 cups or less requires the conical green handled filter basket and filter.  This allows you to supply your own mug instead of using the carafe.  3.5 to 10 cups requires the bigger basket, filter, and use of the insulated carafe.
  2. Make use of Guided Brew. Use the scroll wheel to find, and then push to select.  If you want to go back, keep scrolling counter-clockwise until you reach Back and select.
  3. Coffees provided will be Light or Medium Roast level.  In Guided Brew, selecting these roast levels means selecting the recipe with a different water temperature. Light roast means harder to extract and therefore needs warmer water to achieve equivalent extraction.
  4. Select how much coffee you want to produce. 10 cups is a full carafe.
  5. Weigh the amount of coffee beans in grams that the guide suggests, grind, and pour into the basket and filter.  Click to continue once the coffee is loaded and the countdown to perfection begins.

Don't tell people it's ready before you get a cup or you get to do it all over again. Enjoy!
